Angeles City is geographically located within the province of Pampanga, Philippines and is locally classified as a first-class, highly urbanized city. Angeles City currently has a population of over 325,000.

Angeles City is served by the new Diosdado Macapagal International Airport located inside the Clark Special Economic Zone (formerly the Clark US Air Force Base, the largest military facility outside of the United States mainland), located on the northwestern side of the city. The military base was closed down following the devastating 1991 eruption of nearby Mt. Pinatubo volcano. Subsequently, the base was designated as a Special Economic Zone and fast became one of the Philippine's most dynamic international and domestic business investment opportunities.

The adjacent Balibago nightclub district has since evolved into what has been dubbed as the "Entertainment Capital of Central Luzon."

The Philippines enjoys a predominantly tropical climate marked by comparatively high temperatures. On average, the mean annual temperature is 26.60°C, with January the coolest month with a mean temperature of 25.50°C, while the warmest month is May with a mean temperature of 28.30°C.

The entire archipelago (7,108 islands) has a high relative humidity because of high the temperatures and the surrounding oceans. The average monthly relative humidity of Philippines varies between 71% in March and 85% in September.

The Philippines does not enjoy a uniform distribution of monsoonal rain, as rainfall levels primarily depend on the direction of the moisture-bearing winds and the location of local mountain systems. Thus, mean annual rainfall of the Philippines varies from 965 to 4,064 millimeters annually.

The Philippines experiences two predominant seasons: the Rainy Season, from June to November; and the Dry Season, from December to May.
